A traditional location map says “Phantom Ray: Haunted Shipwreck.” You go to the Shipwreck. You fish. Nothing bites. The map omitted three words: Autumn, Night, Foggy. Those three words are the difference between the Phantom Ray being in your catch pool and the Phantom Ray not existing on that server for that cast. The location tells you where. The conditions tell you when. A map without both is half the information you need.
Starter fish at Moosewood cap at Rare rarity. Sardines, Carp, Goldfish — you’ll catch these for your first hour and then never need them again. Moosewood Pond, where the tutorial places you, never spawns a Legendary or Mythic under any conditions. The moment you can afford the Carbon Rod at 2,000 C$ and the Rowboat for travel, leave Moosewood behind.
Roslit Bay covers levels 15 through 40. Clownfish at Rare and Angelfish at Legendary in the Reef during daytime with clear weather. Golden Carp at Legendary in the Bay during rain. Grouper at Rare and Snapper at Legendary in the Deep section. No season gates. No weather requirements on most species. Roslit Bay is the most accessible mid-game location.
Deep Ocean is your default fishing spot from level 40 onward. Megalodon is the gateway Mythic — the only Mythic in Fisch with absolutely zero condition requirements. No season lock. No weather requirement. No time restriction. Just a boat ride to Deep Ocean and a Steady Rod or better. If you want your first Mythic, this is the target. The Deep Trench variant, Abyssal Anglerfish, requires night and a submarine.
Winter Village requires level 50. The Eternal Frostwhale at Frozen Lake requires a Blizzard — without one, the lake produces the same Commons as Moosewood Pier. Never fish Frozen Lake without an active Blizzard. The Ice Cave produces Glacier Trout at Legendary in any weather.
Haunted Shipwreck is where Phantom Ray lives — Autumn plus Night plus Foggy, all three conditions required simultaneously. The Shadowfin at the Shipwreck Deck is easier: Night plus any weather except Clear. The Shipwreck is the most productive location in Fisch for roughly 15% of the time and a dead zone for the other 85%.
Before every fishing session, run the 30-second condition checker. Check your season. Check the time. Check the weather. Cross-reference with the fish you can actually catch right now. Go where the fish are active, not where you’re comfortable. This 30-second habit is the difference between “I fished for 2 hours and caught nothing” and “I caught 2 Legendaries in 45 minutes.” Same rod, same bait, same player. Different preparation.
