Last updated: May 10, 2026. This guide covers every resource farming strategy in My Singing Monsters, from early-game coin optimization to endgame diamond and shard production systems.
Resource Overview#
MSM has four primary resources that players must manage. Each requires different farming strategies.
| Resource | Primary Uses | Early Game Source | Endgame Source |
|---|
| Coins | Buying monsters, upgrades, decorations | Monster production | High-level monsters, Wublins |
| Diamonds | Speed-ups, enhanced breeding, rare items | Leveling up, daily rewards | Wublins, Colossingum, Wishing Torches |
| Shards | Ethereal monsters, Tribal Island feeding | Ethereal monsters | Wublins, Ethereal Island, Tribal Island |
| Treats | Leveling up monsters | Bakeries | Multiple Bakeries, Wublins, events |
Coin Farming#
Coins are the most important early-game resource and remain relevant throughout your MSM journey.
How Coin Production Works#
Every monster produces coins based on its level, happiness, and base coin rate. Coins accumulate in the monster’s “bank” and can be collected by tapping the monster.
| Factor | Effect on Coin Production |
|---|
| Monster Level | Higher level = more coins per minute (see table below) |
| Monster Rarity | Epic > Rare > Common |
| Monster Element Count | 4-element > 3-element > 2-element > 1-element (generally) |
| Happiness | 25% bonus when all monsters on island are 100% happy |
| Wishing Torch boost | No direct coin boost, but more monsters = more coins |
| Island structure | Each island generates coins independently |
Coin Production by Monster Type#
Below are approximate coin production rates at Level 10 for key monsters on Plant Island.

| Decorations | 10-50 | Avoid | No gameplay benefit |
| Treats | Varies | Avoid | Breed treats instead |
Shard Farming#
Shards become important in the mid-to-late game for Ethereal Island and Tribal Island.
Shard Production Sources#
| Source | Daily Shard Income | Notes |
|---|
| Ethereal Island (full) | 50-200 | Scales with number of Ethereals |
| Wublin Island (Poewk/Dwumrohl) | 50-200 | Passive income |
| Tribal Island rewards | 100-500 (weekly) | Depends on tribe level |
| Feeding Ethereal monsters | Bonus production | Higher level = more shards |
Best Shard-Producing Setup#
| Strategy | Setup Required | Daily Shards |
|---|
| Wublin Poewk farm | 10 Poewk | 150-250 |
| Ethereal Island (5 Ghazt) | 5 Ghazt on Ethereal Island | 100-150 |
| Tribal Island (top 10%) | Active tribe, feed weekly | 200-500 weekly |
| Combined (Poewk + Ethereals + Tribe) | Full setup | 300-500 per day |
Ethereal Island Shard Production#
| Ethereal Monster | Shards per Hour (Lv10) | Shards per Day (Lv10) | Teleport Cost |
|---|

| Jeeode | 22 | 528 | 1,500 shards |
| Humbug | 25 | 600 | 2,000 shards |
Note: Teleporting an Ethereal to Ethereal Island costs a one-time shard fee but unlocks ongoing production. The ROI (return on investment) for each Ethereal is 1-4 days depending on monster and level.
Treat Farming#
Treats are required to level up monsters, and treat demand grows exponentially with each level.
Bakery Overview#
| Bakery Type | Treat Produced | Cost to Build | Production Time | Treat Yield |
|---|
| Basic Bakery | Cookie | 10,000 coins | 30 minutes | 25 treats |
| Enhanced Bakery | Cookie | 25,000 coins | 15 minutes | 25 treats |
| VIP Bakery | Candy | 100,000 coins | 2 hours | 100 treats |
| Super Bakery | Cake | 500,000 coins | 8 hours | 500 treats |
| Mega Bakery | Cake | 2,000,000 coins | 4 hours | 600 treats |
Treat Production Efficiency#
| Treat Type | Base Yield | Cost to Produce (Coins) | Treats per Hour (per Bakery) | Coins per Treat |
|---|
| Cookie | 25 | 2,000 | 50 | 80 |
| Candy | 100 | 15,000 | 50 | 150 |
| Cake | 500 | 100,000 | 62.5 | 200 |
Optimal Bakery Strategy#
| Game Stage | Recommended Setup | Notes |
|---|
| Early (Levels 1-10) | 1-2 Basic Bakeries | Enough for early leveling |
| Mid (Levels 10-20) | 2 Enhanced + 1 VIP Bakery | Switch to Candy for efficiency |
| Late (Levels 20-30) | 3-4 VIP + 1 Super Bakery | Mass produce Cake |
| Endgame (Levels 30+) | 4-5 Mega Bakeries | Maximum treat throughput |
Treat Farming Tips#
- Upgrade Bakeries early – Even one upgrade dramatically improves treat output
- Run Bakeries continuously – Always have treats cooking, even if you don’t need them yet
- Switch to Candy at mid-game – Better treats-per-coin ratio than Cookies
- Cake for high-level pushes – Only use Cake when pushing monsters past Level 15
- Wublin treats supplement – Screemu and Bona-Petite provide free treats daily

| Diamond-focused | 8 Astropod + 8 Thwok + 4 Zynth | 15-25 diamonds |
| Coin-focused | 10 Brump + 10 Whaddle | 100K+ coins |
Total Daily Income Targets#
| Player Stage | Coins/Day | Diamonds/Day | Shards/Day | Treats/Day |
|---|
| Early game (Lv1-10) | 50K-200K | 2-5 | 0 | 500-1,000 |
| Mid game (Lv10-20) | 500K-2M | 5-15 | 50-150 | 2,000-5,000 |
| Late game (Lv20-30) | 2M-5M | 15-30 | 150-400 | 5,000-10,000 |
| Endgame (Lv30+) | 5M-10M+ | 20-50+ | 400-1,000+ | 10,000-20,000+ |
Advanced Efficiency Techniques#
The Double-Collect Method#
Because monsters store coins for a period before maxing out, you can optimize collection timing:
| Collection Frequency | Efficiency | Note |
|---|
| Every 4-6 hours | ~95% of max | Good for active players |
| Every 8-12 hours | ~85% of max | Standard for casual players |
| Every 24 hours | ~60% of max | Monsters hit cap and stop producing |
| Multiple times daily + Wublins | ~100% | Optimal but time-intensive |
Bed Efficiency Optimization#
Each bed should generate maximum value. Here is the ranking:
| Monster | Beds Used | Coins/Day at Lv10 | Coins per Bed per Day |
|---|
| Entbrat | 4 | 288,000 | 72,000 |
| Deedge | 4 | 259,200 | 64,800 |
| Riff | 4 | 240,000 | 60,000 |
| T-Rox | 3 | 151,200 | 50,400 |
| Bowgart | 3 | 144,000 | 48,000 |
| Furcorn | 2 | 86,400 | 43,200 |
| Noggin | 1 | 14,400 | 14,400 |
Conclusion: 4-element monsters are the most bed-efficient coin producers. Replace single-element monsters with 4-element monsters as soon as you have enough beds.
Treat-to-Coin Conversion#
Treats are ultimately an investment that pays back through higher-level monsters producing more coins.
| Level Push | Treat Investment | Coin Production Increase | ROI Time |
|---|
| Lv1 to Lv10 | 1,165 treats | 7.5x base | ~3 days |
| Lv10 to Lv15 | 12,000 treats | 2.3x Lv10 rate | ~10 days |
| Lv15 to Lv20 | 60,000+ treats | 1.5x Lv15 rate | ~30 days |
| Lv20+ | 200K+ treats | Marginal | Only for endgame |
Conclusion#
Resource farming in My Singing Monsters follows a clear progression: coins first, then diamonds, then shards, with treats as the bottleneck throughout. The early game is about establishing coin income through Entbrats and 3-element monsters. The mid game shifts to Wublin Island for passive diamond income. The endgame optimizes every island for maximum resource production.
Remember these key principles:
- 4-element monsters are the most efficient coin producers per bed
- Wublin Island is the best diamond source for free-to-play players
- Treats are the real bottleneck – upgrade Bakeries early and run them constantly
- Level monsters evenly before pushing individual monsters very high
- Collect frequently – idle monsters stop producing when their bank is full
