Last updated: May 10, 2026. Covers all bosses in Sea 1 and Sea 2 as of the April 2026 Sea 2 update and Anti-Magic update. Boss HP values, drop rates, and strategies are based on current game data.
Why Boss Fights Define Your Progression
Boss fights in Sailor Piece are the gatekeepers of every major milestone. Each boss guards the path to the next island, drops exclusive materials required for Sea 2, and rewards you with titles, gear, and rare items that dramatically accelerate your build. Unlike regular enemy grinding, boss fights test your understanding of combat mechanics, stat allocation, and preparation.
This guide covers every boss from the level 25 Thief Boss to the billion-HP endgame titans of Sea 2. Each entry includes HP data, attack patterns, recommended strategies, drop tables, and farming tips.
Boss Fight Fundamentals
Before diving into individual bosses, understand these universal mechanics:
Universal Boss Mechanics
| Mechanic | Description | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Dash Dodge (Q) | Quick dodge with brief invincibility frames | Press Q during boss telegraphed attacks |
| Armament Haki (G) | Required to damage certain bosses | Always keep active during boss fights |
| Observation Haki (H) | Auto-dodge chance | Stacks with manual Q-dodging for near-immunity |
| Z-Spec Attacks | High-damage special abilities | Use during boss animation windups |
| Boss Aggro Range | Bosses only engage within a set radius | Useful for pulling bosses to safe locations |
| Boss Enrage | Some bosses become faster at low HP | Save defensive cooldowns for the last 20% |
General Boss Strategy Framework
For a complete guide to Haki types, fighting styles, and combat techniques, see the Sailor Piece Haki and Combat Guide.
| Phase | Strategy |
|---|---|
| Preparation | Stock up on consumables, equip best gear, choose optimal race/clan |
| Pattern Recognition (First 2-3 attempts) | Focus on dodging, not damage. Learn every attack animation and timing |
| Damage Phase (Attempts 4+) | Once you know patterns, maximize damage during boss cooldowns |
| Execution (Farm runs) | Streamline your approach for consistent, fast clears |
Sea 1 Bosses (Complete Guide)

- Recommended Build: Any build works at this stage. Focus on your chosen primary stat.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 2,000-5,000 |
| XP | 100% | 5,000 XP |
| Basic Sword | 15% | Low-tier sword for early game |
2. Monkey Boss – Jungle Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~500 |

- Aerial Slam: Jumps into air, crashes down with AoE damage (3-second telegraph)
- Frenzy: At 30% HP, attack speed increases by 50%
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Dodge the aerial slam (most dangerous attack). When boss throws rocks, strafe sideways rather than backing up – it is faster. Save your Z-spec for the frenzy phase.
- Team: One player tanks and kites while others deal damage from range.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 10,000-20,000 |
| XP | 100% | 15,000 XP |
| Jungle Key Fragment | 5% | Quest item |
| Monkey Title | 1% | Cosmetic title |
3. Desert Boss – Desert Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~1,000 |
| HP | ~75,000 |
| Location | Desert Island, pyramid entrance |
| Attack Pattern | Sand-based AoE attacks, burrowing, sandstorm summoning |
| Difficulty | Moderate |
Attack Patterns:
- Sand Barrage: Fires 5-8 sand projectiles in a spread pattern
- Burrow Dive: Disappears underground, emerges beneath player for surprise attack
- Sandstorm: Creates a large AoE zone that deals damage over time for 5 seconds
- Desert Fury (25% HP): Combines all attacks at faster rate
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: When boss burrows, keep moving – do not stand still. The emergence attack is unavoidable if you are stationary. During sandstorm, exit the AoE zone immediately; do not try to tank it.
- Recommended Loadout: Fruit mains should use ranged fruit abilities. Melee mains need good Observation Haki to dodge the sand barrage.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 25,000-50,000 |
| XP | 100% | 30,000 XP |

| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | 2,000 |
| HP | ~200,000 |
| Location | Snow Island, frozen peak |
| Attack Pattern | Ice-based AoE, freezing debuffs, blizzard summoning |
| Difficulty | Moderate |
Attack Patterns:
- Ice Lance: Fires a fast-moving ice projectile that can freeze on hit
- Frost Nova: Instant AoE around boss, medium radius
- Blizzard: Summons a directional ice storm that pushes players backward
- Deep Freeze (20% HP): Locks a player in place for 3 seconds if they lack Observation Haki
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: The freeze debuff is the biggest threat. Keep Observation Haki active at all times to reduce freeze chance. When Blizzard activates, run perpendicular to the wind direction.
- Recommended Loadout: Magma fruit is excellent here for melting ice. Otherwise, any high-damage fruit or fighting style works.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 50,000-100,000 |
| XP | 100% | 75,000 XP |

5. Sukuna – Shibuya Station
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~3,000 |
| HP | 5,000,000 (5M) |
| Location | Shibuya Station, cursed domain |
| Attack Pattern | Cursed energy beams, domain expansion, slashing combos |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Attack Patterns:
- Dismantle: Rapid slashing attack that hits multiple times. Telegraphed by hand gesture.
- Cleave: Targeted AoE that follows the player. Cannot be outrun – must dodge with Q.
- Domain Expansion (30% HP): Creates a large AoE zone. Players inside take continuous damage. Lasts 8 seconds.
- Malevolent Shrine: Summons floating cursed tools that fire beams. Destroy the tools to stop the beams.
- Final Form (10% HP): All attack speed and damage increase by 40%.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Learn the Dismantle vs. Cleave distinction. Dismantle is a directional slash – dodge perpendicular to it. Cleave targets your position – Q-dodge away immediately. Save Z-spec for when Domain Expansion ends (boss is vulnerable for ~3 seconds).
- Recommended Combo: Xenodok A + Demon Gate Spirit Stage 7 is cited as an effective boss-kill combo. Time your Z-spec attacks during Sukuna’s animation windups.
- Team (2-4 players): Split roles – one player destroys the floating tools during Malevolent Shrine, others focus damage on Sukuna. Rotate Q-dodges so not everyone dodges at once.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 150,000-300,000 |
| XP | 100% | 200,000 XP |
| Boss Key | 10% | Summon Sukuna for repeat farming |
| Cursed Title | 2% | Cosmetic title |
| Cursed Technique Fragment | 5% | Upgrade material |
6. Gojo – Shibuya Station
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~3,500 |
| HP | 4,000,000 (4M) |
| Location | Shibuya Station, sealed area |
| Attack Pattern | Infinity barrier, Hollow Purple, teleportation, reverse cursed technique |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Attack Patterns:
- Infinity Barrier: Passive defense that reduces incoming damage by 50% unless you have Armament Haki at sufficient level
- Hollow Purple: Massive AoE beam that sweeps across the arena. 4-second telegraph. Instantly devastating if hit.
- Teleport Strike: Disappears and reappears behind a random player with a powerful punch
- Reverse Cursed Technique (15% HP): Heals for 20% of max HP over 5 seconds. Interrupt this with burst damage.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Armament Haki level must be upgraded to bypass Infinity Barrier. Hollow Purple is the priority to dodge – it is the highest-damage attack in Sea 1. Watch for the purple energy gathering animation (4-second windup) and Q-dodge perpendicular to the beam direction.
- Team: Coordinate burst damage during the 3-second window after Hollow Purple fires. Gojo is completely vulnerable during this cooldown.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 150,000-250,000 |
| XP | 100% | 180,000 XP |
| Boss Key | 10% | Summon Gojo for repeat farming |
| Infinity Title | 1.5% | Rare cosmetic title |
| Six Eyes Fragment | 3% | Rare upgrade material |
7. Jinwoo – Sailor Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~4,000 |
| HP | 6,000,000 (6M) |
| Location | Sailor Island, shadow domain |
| Attack Pattern | Shadow summons, dagger combos, domain extraction |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Attack Patterns:
- Shadow Extraction: Summons shadow soldiers that attack independently. Must defeat soldiers or they overwhelm you.
- Dagger Rush: 5-hit rapid combo, each hit faster than the last
- Domain Exchange: Teleports both players to shadow realm for 10 seconds. Higher damage in this zone.
- Arise (15% HP): Resummons all defeated shadow soldiers at once. Clear them immediately.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Priority #1 is clearing shadow soldiers. They deal more damage over time than Jinwoo himself. Use AoE fruit abilities or fighting styles to clear minions quickly. During Domain Exchange, focus on survival – the increased damage makes every hit count more.
- Team: Assign one player to clear shadow soldiers while others focus on Jinwoo.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 200,000-400,000 |
| XP | 100% | 250,000 XP |
| Boss Key | 12% | Summon Jinwoo for repeat farming |
| Shadow Monarch Title | 1% | Very rare cosmetic title |
| Shadow Fragment | 5% | Upgrade material |
8. Alucard – Sailor Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~5,000 |
| HP | 20,000,000 (20M) |
| Location | Sailor Island, castle entrance |
| Attack Pattern | Blood manipulation, shape-shifting, summon familiars, regeneration |
| Difficulty | Very Hard |
Attack Patterns:
- Blood bullets: Fires rapid projectiles that track players slightly
- Familiar Summon: Summons bats and hellhounds that attack independently
- Shape-shift (50% HP): Transforms into a larger form with new, more dangerous attacks
- Regeneration (Continuous): Slowly heals during the fight. Must out-DPS the healing.
- Level Zero Release (10% HP): Unleashes all familiars at once for a massive assault. Survive 10 seconds for boss to become vulnerable.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: The regeneration makes this a DPS race. Use your highest-damage abilities continuously. Do not waste time on familiars unless they become overwhelming. The 20M HP is a significant jump from previous bosses – expect 10-15 attempts to learn patterns.
- Recommended Build: Fruit mains with high Power stat excel here. Melee mains need a fully upgraded fighting style.
- Team (3-4 players): Designate one support player to clear familiars. The rest focus all damage on Alucard.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 500,000-1,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 500,000 XP |
| Map Piece (1 of 7) | 8% | Required for Sea 2 |
| Vampire Title | 1% | Rare cosmetic title |
| Blood Weapon Fragment | 4% | Rare upgrade material |
9. Rimuru – Slime Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~8,000 |
| HP | 200,000,000 (200M) |
| Location | Slime Island, tempest headquarters |
| Attack Pattern | Slime absorption, predator ability, ultimate skill summoning |
| Difficulty | Very Hard |
Attack Patterns:
- Slime Wave: Sends a spreading wave of slime that slows and damages. Wide AoE, must jump or Q-dodge over.
- Predator (Absorption): Attempts to absorb player. If successful, deals massive damage and heals Rimuru. Avoid standing still.
- Ultimate Skill: Rotates through multiple elemental attacks (fire, ice, lightning). Each has a unique telegraph.
- True Dragon Form (20% HP): Transforms, gaining 50% damage increase and new AoE attacks.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: This is the first boss with truly massive HP. Expect a 5-10 minute fight even with a good build. Learn each Ultimate Skill telegraph – they are distinct colors for each element. Red = fire (dodge perpendicular), Blue = ice (keep moving), Yellow = lightning (stand still, do not run).
- Team (4+ players): Essential for most players at this level. Coordinate to spread out and avoid group AoE. Focus on consistent damage rather than risky plays.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 1,000,000-2,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 1,500,000 XP |
| Boss Key | 15% | Summon Rimuru for repeat farming |
| Slime Title | 1% | Rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 10% | Required for Sea 2 |
10. Anos – Academy Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~9,000 |
| HP | 350,000,000 (350M) |
| Location | Academy Island, demon king throne room |
| Attack Pattern | Destruction magic, time manipulation, overwhelming AoE |
| Difficulty | Extreme |
Attack Patterns:
- Destruction Beam: Fires a massive beam that sweeps the arena. 3-second telegraph, very wide hitbox.
- Time Stop: Freezes all players for 2 seconds, then follows up with a guaranteed hit attack. Unavoidable without specific race abilities.
- Venuzdonoa (Summon): Summons the demon sword which fires autonomous projectiles.
- Tyrant Form (15% HP): All destruction attacks gain 2x damage. Fight becomes survival-focused.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: The time stop attack is unavoidable – prepare to take the hit and recover. Use the 3 seconds before each time stop to position yourself away from the follow-up attack zone. The destruction beam requires precise Q-dodging at the last moment to maintain DPS.
- Recommended Build: High Defense is crucial. Vampire race helps with sustain through lifesteal. Galevorn race for maximum damage output.
- Team (4+ players): Spread out to minimize AoE impact. One player should watch for the Time Stop telegraph and call it out.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 2,000,000-4,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 2,500,000 XP |
| Map Piece (1 of 7) | 10% | Required for Sea 2 |
| Demon King Title | 0.5% | Extremely rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 12% | Required for Sea 2 |
11. Shadow Cid – Dungeon Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~5,000 (but 500M HP makes it endgame-level) |
| HP | 500,000,000 (500M) |
| Location | Dungeon Island, shadow dungeon entrance |
| Attack Pattern | I Am Atomic, shadow clone army, precision strikes |
| Difficulty | Extreme |
Attack Patterns:
- I Am Atomic: Charges massive AoE explosion. 5-second telegraph with visible energy buildup. Must leave the arena area entirely.
- Shadow Clone: Creates 3-5 shadow copies that mimic attacks. Clones have 10% HP each but deal full damage.
- Atomic Strike: Single-target precision attack with unavoidable tracking. Q-dodge reduces but does not eliminate damage.
- Full Atomic (10% HP): Uses I Am Atomic twice in succession with only 2 seconds between charges.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Leave the arena immediately when I Am Atomic begins charging. The 5-second windup gives you time to run. Shadow clones should be ignored unless they become too numerous – Cid is the priority target.
- Team (4+ players): Required for most players. Split clone-clearing and boss-damage roles. Coordinate I Am Atomic dodges – one player can bait the boss toward a corner while others escape.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 3,000,000-6,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 3,000,000 XP |
| Boss Key | 15% | Summon Shadow Cid for repeat farming |
| Atomic Title | 0.5% | Extremely rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 15% | Required for Sea 2 |
12. Shadow Monarch – Dungeon Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~6,000 (but 750M HP makes it extreme endgame) |
| HP | 750,000,000 (750M) |
| Location | Dungeon Island, deepest dungeon floor |
| Attack Pattern | Shadow army summoning, death manipulation, monarch domain |
| Difficulty | Extreme |
Attack Patterns:
- Shadow Army: Summons an army of 10+ shadow soldiers. Each deals moderate damage but overwhelms through numbers.
- Death Extract: Instant-kill attempt on players below 30% HP. Must dodge with Q or have sufficient Defense.
- Monarch Domain: Transforms the arena, increasing all shadow soldier damage by 100%.
- Arise: Monarch Form (10% HP): Becomes the full Shadow Monarch. All previous attacks gain massive damage boosts.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Not recommended without a top-tier build (10,000+ level, Galevorn race, Devil clan, awakened fruit). The shadow army combined with the Monarch Domain is extremely difficult to handle alone.
- Team (4-6 players): Essential. Assign 2 players to clear shadow soldiers and 2-4 to focus the boss. The Death Extract ability means low-HP players must play extremely defensively.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 5,000,000-10,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 5,000,000 XP |
| Map Piece (1 of 7) | 12% | Required for Sea 2 |
| Monarch Title | 0.3% | Extremely rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 18% | Required for Sea 2 |
13. Yamato – Judgement Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~10,000 |
| HP | 850,000,000 (850M) |
| Location | Judgement Island, sacred temple |
| Attack Pattern | Ice and fire dual attacks, weapon mastery, guardian stance |
| Difficulty | Extreme |
Attack Patterns:
- Ice Fang: Rapid ice projectile barrage. Each projectile can freeze briefly.
- Flame Slash: Wide melee arc with fire damage. Leaves burning ground.
- Guardian Stance: Enters defensive mode, reducing incoming damage by 70% for 8 seconds. Must break through with burst damage.
- Awakened State (10% HP): Combines ice and fire into devastating AoE attacks. Arena becomes hazardous with mixed elements.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: Guardian Stance is the key mechanic. Do not waste normal attacks during it – save your Z-spec and highest-damage abilities for the moment it ends. The Awakened State arena hazards require constant movement – standing still means taking both ice and fire damage.
- Team (4+ players): Coordinate burst damage to break Guardian Stance faster. During Awakened State, spread out across the arena to minimize overlapping AoE damage.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 6,000,000-12,000,000 |
| XP | 100% | 6,000,000 XP |
| Map Piece (1 of 7) | 15% | Required for Sea 2 |
| Yamato Title | 0.3% | Extremely rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 20% | Required for Sea 2 |
14. Atomic Boss/Cid – Lawless Island
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Level | ~12,000 |
| HP | 2,000,000,000 (2B) |
| Location | Lawless Island, arena |
| Attack Pattern | Atomic-level destruction, ultimate techniques, reality-warping AoE |
| Difficulty | Nightmare (hardest boss in Sea 1) |
Attack Patterns:
- Atomic Annihilation: Screen-filling AoE attack. 6-second telegraph. Requires running to the very edge of the arena.
- Reality Rend: Creates zones of distorted space that pull players in and deal massive damage.
- Clone Atomic: Creates an atomic clone that mirrors all player actions for 15 seconds.
- Final Atomic (5% HP): Chains 3 Atomic Annihilations with only 3 seconds between each. Must dodge all three perfectly.
Recommended Strategy:
- Solo: This is the ultimate Sea 1 boss challenge. Only players with near-max builds (12,000+ level, optimal race/clan, awakened fruit, max fighting style) should attempt solo. The 2B HP means a 15-20 minute fight even under optimal conditions.
- Team (4-8 players): Strongly recommended. The clone mechanic is particularly dangerous in groups – communicate who is targeting the clone. During Final Atomic, assign one player to call out each detonation timing.
- Recommended Loadout: Maximum Power stat for fruit mains, Galevorn + Devil clan combination, highest available fighting style for melee mains, full Conqueror’s Haki if unlocked. For a complete ranking of every fruit with awakening guides and trading values, see the Sailor Piece Devil Fruits Guide.
Drop Table:
| Drop | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Beli | 100% | 10,000,000-25,000,000 |

| Atomic Boss Title | 0.2% | Ultra-rare cosmetic title |
| Ancient Fragment (1 of 20) | 25% | Required for Sea 2 |

FAQ
Q: What is the hardest boss in Sea 1? A: Atomic Boss/Cid on Lawless Island is the hardest Sea 1 boss with 2 billion HP, screen-filling AoE attacks, and a triple-chained Final Atomic at low HP.
Q: How do I farm Map Pieces efficiently? A: Farm Atomic Boss/Cid (20% drop rate) and Yamato (15% drop rate). Use luck boosts from codes to increase your chances. Expect to defeat each boss 5-7 times per Map Piece on average.
Q: How do I farm Ancient Fragments efficiently? A: The best sources are Atomic Boss/Cid (25%), Yamato (20%), and Shadow Monarch (18%). Desert Boss and Winter Warden also drop fragments at lower rates (7-8%). You need all 20 fragments to unlock Sea 2.
Q: Can I solo endgame bosses? A: Yes, but only with a near-max build (12,000+ level, Galevorn + Devil clan, awakened Mythical fruit). Most players will need a team of 4-6 for bosses above 500M HP.
Q: What is the best combo for boss fights? A: Xenodok A + Demon Gate Spirit Stage 7 is widely cited as the most effective boss-kill combo. Time your Z-spec attacks during boss animation windups for maximum damage.
Q: How do I use Boss Keys? A: Boss Keys allow you to summon a specific boss without traveling to their island. Use them from your inventory. This is extremely useful for farming specific bosses in a boss rush route.
Q: Which bosses drop Boss Keys? A: Sukuna, Gojo, Jinwoo, Rimuru, Shadow Cid, and Atomic Boss/Cid all have a chance to drop their respective Boss Keys (10-20% drop rate).
Q: Do boss HP values change with team size? A: Boss HP remains the same regardless of team size. However, having more players means more damage output, making the fight easier and faster.
Q: What should I do if I keep dying to a boss? A: First, check your stat allocation – make sure you are not spreading points across multiple damage types. Second, ensure your race and clan are optimal. Third, learn the boss patterns through repeated attempts. Fourth, consider teaming up with other players.
Q: Are hidden bosses worth farming? A: Hidden bosses like Escanor and the Hollow Boss offer unique titles and items not available from regular bosses. They are worth at least one clear for the exclusive cosmetic rewards.
